"SIGNS"
M. Night Shamaylan is just great. Let me say that right off the bat. His
ability to place just regular people in these fantastic situations and see
how REGULAR people deal with them is just outstanding. Signs is no
different. The movie revolves around an ex-minister who starts seeing
crop circles in his corn fields and as things progress, farmers around the
world start seeing these. This coincides with said ex minister questioning
his faith and needing to re-evaluate things in what he believes could be
his last moments of life. It's a very human story in the middle of a very
Alien tale ;). Although it doesn't have the same kind of weird surprise
ending as M.Nights previous films ( Sixth Sense and Unbreakable ), it
still holds his immense ability at high tension situations and still holds
a few surprises. Go see it now, there's a reason that despite it's drop,
it's made it back to #1 at the box office last week.
