Welcome to the March Edition of The Collector Times!
Our cover this month comes from the depths of one of my many comic
boxes.

Meet Fruitman and his other crime fighting friends, Sooper Hippie and
Flower Man, published by Harvey Comics in 1969. No, I did not buy this
one off the stands, the cover amused me and I bought it later. The teens
in 1969, like me, were out reading Zap, and other assorted underground
comics. I didnt appreciate the glory of Fruitman and Sooper Hippie until
much, much later. Funny comic, if you ever get a chance to pick it up.
We have lots of good stuff for you this month. Jamie Coville interviews
Joe Quesada, editor in chief of Marvel Comics about the his job
and other issues in the comics business. Joe Singleton bows to a
readers request and reworks Alpha Flight in Artistic License.
Mat Bredfeldt gives us an update on what to expect in the line of action
figures (Lord of the Rings movie action figures, arrrgh, damn them, my
pocketbook!) in Toy Chest #7. Stephane Morrell deplores the sad
state of movies today in another Xipetotec Rant in the opinion
section. Chris Reid gives us a hilarious expose about "All I needed to
know about GMing I Learned from my Cat" in Random Thoughts.
Any cat owner will get this column, whether they know anything about
gaming or not. Plus, lots more, so look around.
Youll notice that Patrick Dunning and his Judgment Calls has been
missing for a couple of months. His parents are remodeling their house
and the contractors cut the cable modem line. Pat says hell be back as
soon as the cable gets reconnected. Youll also notice that Starr and
Rourke is missing this month, too. Gonzo not only serves in the military,
he is also going to college. Exams and work caught up with him this
month, but the comic should return next month.
Oh yes, and I have lost my mind. I now own a parrot. To go with the 5
cats. I must love chaos.
